The safety signs in this section are designed to the specifications of BS 5499 Part 11 2002 Water Safety Signs. These signs give information on the  prohibition of certain actions and activities, to give warnings of water hazards or dangerous situations and to give specific instructions for mandatory action. These signs are applicable for use in, on and near water, in coastal and inland waters, including navigational waters and all types of swimming pools. Water safety signs should be supplemented by health and safety signs, fire exit signs, danger signs, warning signs and hazard signs.
